- Educational Content Disclaimer
Information provided through the Platform — including farming guides, recommendations, articles, videos, and community discussions — is intended for informational purposes only. Agricultural outcomes depend on numerous factors including soil conditions, weather, pest pressure, farming practices, and input quality. - Relevant evidence is reviewed; additional documentation may be requested from the buyer.

- Sabi Farm will communicate logistics responsibilities clearly before any return is arranged.

Dealer Verification Policy
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Last Updated: June 2025 | Applies to: sabi.farm and all associated platforms
The Sabi Farm Verification Programme helps users identify businesses that have completed our structured review process. This document sets out what verification means, what it does not mean, and how verified accounts are monitored.
- Purpose of Verification
Verification is designed to reduce the risk of fraud and misrepresentation on the Platform by confirming that key business information provided by a dealer or distributor has been reviewed by Sabi Farm at the time of application.
- What We Verify
Verification may include review of the following:
- Business registration documents (CAC Certificate or equivalent).
- Director or owner identity (government-issued ID).
- Physical business location.
- Contact information (phone and email validation).
- Additional checks at Sabi Farm’s discretion.
- What Verification Does Not Mean
⚠ Verification is not an endorsement. It does not guarantee product quality in every transaction, product performance, crop yields, financial stability, or future business conduct.
Verification reflects information reviewed at the time of assessment only. Conditions may change after verification is granted.
- Verification Renewal
Verified status is reviewed periodically. Dealers are expected to notify Sabi Farm of material changes to their business registration, location, or identity documents within 30 days of the change. Failure to do so may result in suspension of verified status.
- Ongoing Monitoring
Verified accounts may be subject to ad hoc review triggered by:
- Multiple buyer complaints or dispute reports.
- Fraud or impersonation reports.
- Regulatory or law enforcement concerns.
- Evidence of false information submitted during verification.
- Patterns of quality-related or delivery complaints.
- Outcomes Following Review
Following a review, Sabi Farm may:
- Maintain existing verified status.
- Request updated documentation.
- Temporarily suspend verified status pending investigation.
- Permanently remove verified status.
- Suspend or terminate the account.
- Misuse of Verification
Businesses may not misrepresent the nature or scope of Sabi Farm verification in their own marketing or communications. For example, representing Sabi Farm verification as a product quality guarantee or government endorsement is prohibited. Confirmed misuse may result in immediate suspension.

How Verification Works
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Last Updated: June 2025 | Applies to: sabi.farm and all associated platforms
A plain-language guide for farmers, buyers, and dealers
When you see a verified badge on a dealer’s profile on Sabi Farm, what does it actually mean? This guide explains it clearly — no legal language.
Why Verification Matters
Agriculture in Nigeria involves real money, real inputs, and real risk. Fake dealers, counterfeit products, and fly-by-night distributors cause real harm to farmers. Sabi Farm’s verification programme is designed to reduce that risk by making sure the businesses on our platform are who they say they are.
What We Check
- Is the business legally registered in Nigeria?
- Do the owner’s identity documents match the registration?
- Does the business operate from a real, identifiable location?
- Is the contact information valid and responsive?
What We Don’t Check (And Why It Matters)
⚠ A verified badge does NOT mean we have tested the products, guaranteed any particular harvest result, or vouched for every future transaction.
We verify identity and registration — not every product batch, crop outcome, or delivery. You should still:
- Read product listings carefully.
- Check other buyers’ reviews and ratings.
- Report any issue within 7 days of receiving your order.
How Complaints Are Handled
- You report the issue via supportteam@sabi.farm within 7 days of delivery.
- We acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days.
- We investigate — reviewing evidence from both you and the dealer.
- We give you a resolution update within 14 business days (30 days maximum for complex cases).
- Outcomes may include a refund, replacement, or dealer action.
How Dealer Accounts Are Reviewed
Verified dealers don’t get a free pass forever. We monitor accounts and can re-review or remove verification if:
- Multiple buyers report problems.
- We receive fraud or impersonation reports.
- The dealer’s business information changes and is not updated.
How to Report a Concern
If something feels wrong — a suspicious listing, an unresponsive dealer, a product that doesn’t match the description — please tell us:
- Email: supportteam@sabi.farm
- In-app support feature (where available)
Your reports help protect every farmer and buyer on the platform. We take every report seriously.

Dealer & Distributor Programme Terms

These Programme Terms govern participation in the Sabi Farm Dealer & Distributor Programme. They apply alongside the Sabi Farm Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Dealer Verification Policy, Refund & Dispute Policy, Seller Code of Conduct, and any additional policies published by Sabi Farm. In the event of conflict, these Programme Terms prevail for dealer and distributor matters.
- Purpose
The Sabi Farm Dealer & Distributor Programme connects farmers, dealers, distributors, and agricultural businesses through a trusted marketplace that promotes transparency, accountability, and access to quality agricultural products across Nigeria and Africa.
- Eligibility
To participate in the Programme, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Provide accurate registration and contact information.
- Complete any verification requirements requested by Sabi Farm.
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
- Maintain truthful and up-to-date business information throughout participation.
Sabi Farm reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or remove any participant at its reasonable discretion, with reasons provided where practicable.
- Product Listings
Dealers and distributors may list approved agricultural products on the Platform. Participants must ensure that:
- Listings are accurate, complete, and not misleading.
- Product descriptions truthfully represent the item being sold.
- Pricing is accurate and inclusive of applicable charges.
- Stock availability is updated promptly — within 24 hours of a change.
- Products comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and quality standards.
Sabi Farm may edit, remove, reject, or restrict listings that violate Platform policies or may cause harm to users. Where possible, dealers will be notified before action is taken.
- Commission & Fees
Sabi Farm charges a commission on completed transactions. Current rates and any applicable listing, subscription, or premium service fees are published in the Sabi Farm Fee Schedule at sabi.farm/fees.
ℹ Keeping rates in the Fee Schedule (rather than this document) means they can be updated without requiring a full legal document revision. Always check sabi.farm/fees for the current rates before listing.
Commission and fee changes will be communicated to active participants at least 14 days before taking effect, via the Platform or registered email address. Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised rates.
- Non-Exclusivity
Participation in the Programme is non-exclusive. Dealers and distributors may advertise, market, or sell their products through other platforms, websites, physical locations, or sales channels unless otherwise agreed in writing with Sabi Farm.
- User Content & Product Images
Participants retain ownership of content they upload to the Platform. By uploading content, participants grant Sabi Farm a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, distribute, and promote such content for the operation, improvement, and marketing of the Platform. This licence terminates when the content is deleted or the account is closed, except where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to any content they upload.
- Service Standards
Participants are expected to maintain the following minimum service standards:
- Respond to buyer enquiries with an initial acknowledgment within 2 business days; full response within 5 business days.
- Respond to all Sabi Farm communications within 2 business days.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels promptly.
- Honour all accepted orders without unnecessary cancellation.
- Cooperate fully with dispute investigations.
- Provide truthful business and product information at all times.
- Maintain valid verification records and notify Sabi Farm of material business changes within 30 days.
Failure to consistently meet these standards may result in enforcement action as described in Section 9.
- Seller Payments & Settlement
Details of payment settlement timelines — including when funds are remitted to dealers following completed transactions, any applicable holding periods, and procedures for disputed transactions — are set out in the Sabi Farm Seller Payment Schedule, available at sabi.farm/seller-payments or on request from supportteam@sabi.farm.
⚠ Sabi Farm may withhold settlement of funds where a transaction is subject to an open dispute, fraud investigation, or regulatory hold. Affected dealers will be notified promptly.
- Taxes
Participants are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes applicable to their business activities and transactions, including VAT and income tax obligations under Nigerian law. Sabi Farm does not provide tax advice and is not responsible for any tax obligations arising from use of the Platform.
- Suspension & Enforcement
Sabi Farm may take enforcement action where a participant violates Platform policies or engages in conduct that may harm users, the Platform, or the agricultural community. The standard enforcement process is:
- Warning Notice — formal notification of the specific violation.
- Temporary Listing Restriction — listings paused pending corrective action.
- Temporary Account Suspension — full account access suspended.
- 30-Day Formal Compliance Review — investigation with a defined outcome.
- Permanent Removal from the Programme.
Sabi Farm may bypass earlier stages and proceed directly to suspension or removal where the conduct involves fraud, counterfeiting, serious harm to users, or repeated violations. Participants may appeal enforcement decisions to supportteam@sabi.farm within 14 days of notification.
- Termination
Participants may leave the Programme at any time by notifying Sabi Farm at supportteam@sabi.farm. Sabi Farm may suspend or terminate participation where verification requirements are no longer met, fraudulent activity is suspected, repeated policy violations occur, or the participant poses a risk to users or the Platform.
Termination does not extinguish obligations arising before the termination date, including outstanding dispute resolutions, commission payments, and unfulfilled orders.
- Changes to the Programme
Sabi Farm reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Programme. For material changes — including changes to eligibility requirements, commission structures, or enforcement processes — Sabi Farm will provide at least 14 days’ notice to active participants via the Platform or registered email address.

DOCUMENT 9
Review & Rating Policy
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Last Updated: June 2025 | Applies to: sabi.farm and all associated platforms
Reviews and ratings are central to trust on the Sabi Farm Platform. They help farmers and buyers make informed decisions, reward reliable dealers and distributors, and hold poor performers accountable. This policy sets out the rules governing how reviews work — for buyers who leave them and sellers who receive them.
- Who Can Leave a Review
Only verified buyers who have completed a transaction with a dealer or distributor through the Platform may leave a review for that seller. Reviews are tied to specific transactions — a buyer may leave one review per completed order.
ℹ Reviews can only be submitted after an order is marked as delivered or completed. Reviews from unverified purchases are not permitted.
- What a Review Can Include
Buyers may rate sellers on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and leave a written comment. Reviews should be based on the buyer’s genuine first-hand experience of the transaction, including:
- Product quality and accuracy relative to the listing.
- Communication and responsiveness of the seller.
- Delivery timeliness and condition of goods on arrival.
- Overall transaction experience.
- Review Standards
All reviews must meet the following standards to remain published on the Platform:
- Based on a genuine, first-hand transaction experience.
- Factually accurate to the best of the reviewer’s knowledge.
- Free from hate speech, personal abuse, or discriminatory language.
- Free from promotional content, advertising, or references to competitors.
- Not submitted on behalf of another person or in exchange for any benefit.
⚠ Reviews that do not meet these standards may be removed without notice. Submitting knowingly false or malicious reviews may result in account suspension.
- Can Buyers Edit or Delete Their Reviews
Buyers may edit their review within 14 days of submission — for example, to update a rating if a seller resolved an issue after the initial review was posted. After 14 days, reviews are locked and cannot be edited.
Buyers may request deletion of their own review at any time by contacting support@sabi.farm. Sabi Farm will process deletion requests within 5 business days.
- Can Sellers Remove Reviews
Sellers cannot remove reviews simply because they are negative or unflattering. A seller may only request review removal on the following grounds:
- The review contains factually false statements that can be evidenced.
- The review violates the Review Standards set out in Section 3.
- The review was not left by a genuine buyer of that transaction.
- The review contains personal information, defamatory content, or unlawful material.
Removal requests must be submitted to supportteam@sabi.farm with the order reference number and a clear explanation of the grounds. Sabi Farm will investigate and respond within 7 business days. Sabi Farm’s decision is final.
⚠ Sellers must not contact buyers to pressure, incentivise, or threaten them into editing or removing a review. Any such conduct is a serious violation of the Seller Code of Conduct and may result in immediate suspension.
- What Counts as Review Manipulation
The following are prohibited and constitute review manipulation:
- Submitting, arranging, or purchasing fake reviews — positive or negative.
- Offering discounts, refunds, free products, or any other benefit in exchange for a positive review.
- Threatening, harassing, or pressuring a buyer to change or remove a review.
- Creating multiple accounts to leave reviews for the same seller.
- Coordinating with other sellers or third parties to artificially inflate or deflate ratings.
- Leaving negative reviews on a competitor’s profile without a genuine transaction basis.
Review manipulation is treated as fraud. Confirmed manipulation may result in permanent removal from the Platform and may be reported to relevant authorities.
- Seller Right of Response
Sellers may post a single public response to any review on their profile. Responses must be professional, factual, and respectful. Seller responses that contain personal attacks, threats, or false claims will be removed. This feature is intended to give sellers a fair opportunity to provide context — not to argue with or discredit buyers.
- Sabi Farm’s Role
Sabi Farm does not edit, alter, or curate reviews to favour any seller. Our role is limited to:
- Verifying that a review is linked to a genuine completed transaction.
- Removing reviews that violate this policy following investigation.
- Investigating and acting on reports of review manipulation.
- Ensuring the overall review system reflects genuine buyer experience.
ℹ Sabi Farm does not guarantee the accuracy of individual reviews. Buyers should consider overall ratings and patterns alongside individual reviews when making purchasing decisions.
- Reporting a Review Concern
To report a review that violates this policy — whether you are a buyer or a seller — contact support@sabi.farm with:
- The seller or listing the review relates to.
- The specific review in question.
- The reason you believe it violates this policy.
- Any supporting evidence where available.
Sabi Farm will acknowledge reports within 3 business days and provide a resolution update within 7 business days.
